Creole Cottage

Built between 1790-1850, Creole Cottages are one-story and set at ground level close to the property line. With steeply pitched roofs and wood or stucco exterior, Creole Cottages are best identified by two symmetrical sets of doors and windows on the fa├žade and two dormer windows. The majority of cottages can be found in the French Quarter, Faubourg Marigny, the Bywater and Esplanade Ridge.
