Garden District

Named for its lush foliage and flowers and grounded in a strong sense of tradition, the Garden District is known for its astounding beauty. Developed in 1806 as an open, semi-urban system of interrelated parks with basins, fountains and canals, the Garden District overflows with Greek Revival, Colonial, and Victorian period mansions in Italianate and Queen Anne styles.

Loyola and Tulane Universities as well as Audubon Park add to the traditional and manicured feel of this New Orleans neighborhood.
